Volunteering for Clinical Trials:
Before volunteers begin to participate they must first give their consent to do so by reading and being explained a study approved consent form. In this consent form the potential risks, benefits, alternatives, and responsibilities of the study are explained. Once a volunteer feels they understand what is involved with the clinical trial and indicate their willingness to participate they will then sign this consent and begin the study screening process.
Each study has specific inclusion and exclusion criteria and will be assessed at this screening visit. Participants in these clinical trials usually receive some form of reimbursement for time and travel once enrolled into one of the studies.
