Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)
Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer, is an increasingly important health problem in the United States. Additionally, it has been found that Hispanic people have the highest HCC incidence rate in the country.
Thus, it is important to understand why Hispanics are disproportionately impacted by the disease. Hepatology research is being done to identify such factors that might indicate why Hispanics are at a greater risk of developing HCC.
